Well, I move to Virginia and Michigan weather follows? We are running about 20 degrees below our normal temperature and it is snowing again today. Not real bad (maybe a couple of inches) but around here that means all the schools have closed and evening activities have been suspended. I have today off and went out this morning for a much needed haircut and to buy some gloves and pick up a few groceries. I am back home now and doing laundry and working on my christmas gifts. I added one more picture of Adam’s graduation - take a look.
Well, finally a day off. From work at least. I worked Saturday from noon until 11:00 pm, Sunday from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm and Monday from 8:00 am until 6:00 pm. I crashed early after a nice dinner last night and spent all day today working on the Christmas gifts I will be sending out. It feels good to be off my feet for a day. I will have Thursday off also and if all goes well I may be able to get packages to the post office. We are expecting another snow “storm” (at least that is what they call them here) Wednesday night so I am glad I am off on Thursday because when it snows no one goes anywhere so I wouldn’t make any money at the store anyway. Well, I have to keep working. I am going to see if I can get some video posted to this blog like Alexis does. Wish me luck.
Well, my sisters comment on my last update inspired me to get some photos of Adam’s graduation posted. Click on the link for My Photos to take a look. I will try and get more photos of Palm Springs posted soon.
Sorry about the lack of updates but when you work retail the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas is insane. I am putting in 50+ hours per week. On top of that, I am helping Tammy with her Masters Thesis. My main way of helping is by taking care of all the chores around the house but I also help proof read and edit her paper. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had lunch at her brothers house - all authentic Vietnamese food - and dinner at her other brothers house - all american food including turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy and pumpkin pie with whip cream. It doesn’t seem possible but Tammy and I have been dating for more than 14 months now. The weather here is kind of up and down between being cold vs being mild. It can be 70 degrees one day and only40 the next - but it still isn’t as cold as Michigan. I had a nice day off on Sunday to celebrate my 58th birthday. Tammy took me out for a nice dinner on Saturday evening and on Sunday she surprised me by having a friend of hers who does proffessional massage come to our house. She really worked me over but she did loosen up my tight shoulder area.
