Another great day

June 17, 2005

Things continue to go so well for me that sometimes I have to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming. The weather here is wonderful, I am doing great at Micro Center and I felt like a king driving the Corvette today with the top down. Soon Mom and Dad will be visiting me and I really am looking forward to having them see where I live now and it will be their first chance to meet Tammy. Well, I have to run and cook dinner but I will add more soon.

Is this Adam or Bud?
Well, it is me (Bud). Photo’s taken by my father when I was 18 just before I entered the Air Force.

A lazy Sunday

June 5, 2005

Well, after attending an hour long meeting at Micro Center (during my day off) because of my promotion into system sales, I drove past a classic car show. Of course I had to stop but unfortunately I was not driving my Corvette. Walking around and looking at the cars I realized how much I miss my son Adam. While we talk on the phone often, it isn’t the same as sharing things in person. I am going to a graduation party this evening for a niece of Tammy’s. Not a big party, just a small family get together. One of these days I hope to actually have enough extra time to figure out how to do all the fancy stuff on this blog like my kids do.

Wonderful Life

June 2, 2005

Well, this past week has brought beautiful weather to Alexandria. I spent several days enjoying the town in my Corvette with the top down. Everyone at Micro Center loves the car and they all came out to see it Tuesday night. Of course I had to show off a little bit and impress them with smoking tires as I left. I guess sometimes that “kid” in me shows up. I am finding the employment opportunities here are incredible compared to Detroit. I sent out 3 resumes and got 3 interviews. I turned one job down but I am very excited about the interview I went on this morning. They will make their decision by Monday but I don’t want to say more and jinx my chances. I will have the 3rd interview next week.

Stay tuned for updates.
